Distinguish the street address from the garage entrance
For a car behind a home or inside a garage in Columbia Heights, identify the entrance that actually reaches the vehicle. Describe an alley approach, low door, tight turn or incline when one applies. A safe photo of the entrance can communicate more than a photo of the front of the house.
If steering is locked or a tire is flat, mention it before scheduling. Do not roll a disabled car into a street or alley simply to make room. Loading equipment and access need to be considered together, especially when the vehicle is not facing the garage exit.
Ownership, keys and site access are reviewed separately. Explain whether the title is available and whether the person arranging pickup can authorize the sale. Agree on the amount payable and any removal cost before making the property available for the appointment.
