Privacy and analytics choices

Vehicle inquiries

The contact form asks for your name, phone, email, subject and message, with consent to respond. Information is sent to Merritt’s through its email delivery provider, Resend, to answer the inquiry and discuss a possible transaction. Sending an inquiry does not book a pickup or complete a vehicle sale.

Do not include payment-card details, Social Security numbers, identity documents or a full VIN in the website form. Describe ownership-document status only. Any originals required for a transaction are handled separately.

Security and necessary technical data

The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Cloudflare Turnstile for form verification. Hosting, security and delivery systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and referral information to provide the service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot delivery. These necessary services are separate from optional analytics.

Optional analytics

When configured, Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics can be used to understand page visits and contact-button use. The site asks before loading optional analytics. Declining does not prevent calls, texts or form inquiries. A global privacy-control signal or browser Do Not Track setting is treated as an opt-out by this integration.

The website’s own event code uses page paths, fixed event names and button placement. It does not copy inquiry text, customer contact fields, titles or documents into those events. Google Tag Manager is a container whose separately configured tags require their own review; the presence of a container is not proof that a reporting tag is active. Direct Analytics configuration disables advertising signals and sends path-only page locations.

Changing your choice

Use the Analytics preferences button near the bottom of the page when analytics is configured. The choice is stored in this browser. Withdrawing consent stops loading optional analytics on subsequent page loads; it does not delete information already received by a provider. Clearing browser storage removes the saved choice. Contact Merritt’s about access or deletion requests.

Calls, texts, and external links

Calling or texting uses your device and communications provider; message and data rates may apply. Google Maps, Google reviews and other linked websites apply their own policies when you open them. External links do not send your inquiry form contents.

Retention and questions

Merritt’s keeps inquiry and transaction information as needed to respond, administer the business and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Contact the business to discuss the information it holds and any applicable limitations on deletion.
